My name Ahmed Al Jasar, I am from Iraq –Baghdad, I am here since 24th of January. I have a bachelor degreein civil engineering, have a full scholarship from my government to gain a master degree in my field. I have a conditional admission in CSUF. Because English is not my first language, I should attend ALP classes and also I should have the appropriate or the requirement score in TOEFL so I can start my academic study.
From the years of high school, I used to see American movies which were maybe made some influence on me to be in the United States, but I think the main reason of choose U.S. is the strong and high education system which is the number one in the world, also I have many relatives and friends who live in different states.
I think, I am lucky to be here in California, which I studied about for one year,I worked with American company in my country, and my work was in GIS field (Geographic Information System) and all the information that I deal with were about California, so I was familiar with California before I came.
My hobbies are in different areas, some of them in science and technology like read articles about the inventions and latest discoveries and watch National Geographic Tv. I like watch and play sports like football, swimming, running and special thing now rid a hours is my favorite thing to do when I travel to visit my best friend in Sacramento,woodland.
